Florence Sianto

Sianto serves as the Maa Beadwork Shop Assistant at The Maa Trust, having joined the team in September 2023. Born and raised in the nearby Talek centre, Florence brings a wealth of experience and local knowledge to her role. Prior to her current position, she was employed as a storekeeper at the Base Camp Explorer Foundation from January 2017 to August 2017. Following this, Florence pursued her passion for education by obtaining a diploma in P1 teaching from Machakos Teachers Training College, graduating in 2019. After completing her studies, she applied her skills as a teacher at Talek Primary, Mara Township Ololimutia, and Mara Christina Academy in Sekenani, contributing significantly to the educational landscape in these communities.
