Janet Oyie

Procurement Officer

Janet is a graduate of Mount Kenya University where she majored in Bachelor of Commerce (Finance option) and also has a Diploma in Business Management from the same university.

She joined The Maa Trust as a Finance Intern in 2021. Recognizing her hard work, Janet is now working as the Procurement Officer. In her current role, Janet collaborates closely with the Chief Financial Officer, providing vital support in financial planning, budget management, and financial reporting. She reviews the entire procurement process, ensuring that all purchases adhere to organizational standards and are cost-effective. Her responsibilities include liaising with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services. Janet ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulations, mitigating risks associated with procurement activities.

Continuously seeking ways to enhance procurement processes at the Trust, Janet implements best practices to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Her role requires collaboration with various departments to meet project-specific procurement needs, ensuring the timely and effective delivery of resources.

Currently, she is studying to be a certified procurement and supply professional (CPSP) at Kenya Institute of Supplies Management.
