IT and Career Guidance Coordinator
Mary Ndung’u is the IT and Career Guidance Coordinator at The Maa Trust, where she plays a
pivotal role in advancing digital literacy and guiding young people toward meaningful career
paths. She brings over 8 years of experience as an ICT trainer and is a certified
International Computer Digital Literacy (ICDL) trainer with more than 3 years of
hands-on experience delivering both workforce and professional modules.
Mary is also a registered career guidance practitioner under the Career Development
Association of Kenya (CDAK), with over 3 years of experience in career coaching. Her
expertise spans digital skills development, career mentorship, and program coordination—skills
she has applied to empower youth across marginalized communities in Kenya.
She is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA), specializing in
Management Information Systems, at Kenyatta University. Known for her team spirit,
love of learning, and unwavering commitment to youth empowerment, Mary is passionate about
inspiring the Maa youth to embrace technology, explore new career possibilities, and bridge
the skills gap within their communities.
Her core competencies include digital literacy training with a specialization in the International
Computer Digital Literacy (ICDL) curriculum, as well as career coaching and guidance tailored
to young people navigating education and employment transitions. She has a strong background
in ICT education and curriculum development, combined with expertise in youth mentorship
and capacity building. Mary is highly skilled in program management, monitoring, and
evaluation, and she brings valuable experience in educational leadership and academic
administration.
