Mary Ndung'u

Education Manager

Mary Ndung’u is the Education Manager at The Maa Trust, where she provides strategic
leadership and oversight for the organization’s education portfolio. In her management role, she
oversees the Education Program, Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) programs,
Digital Literacy initiatives, Career Guidance programs, and the Scholarship Program, ensuring
their effective design, implementation, and impact across the Maasai Mara Ecosystem.

Mary brings extensive experience in project management, budgeting, both internal and donor
reporting, and plays a key role in strengthening accountability, program quality, and data-driven
decision-making within the education department. Her leadership is grounded in a strong
understanding of educational systems, having built her career as an educator and progressed into
leadership and administrative roles within school settings before transitioning into the
development sector.

She is a certified International Computer Digital Literacy (ICDL) trainer with five years of
experience, an ICT trainer with over eight years of experience, and a certified Career Guidance
Practitioner registered with the Career Development Association of Kenya (CDAK), with four
years of professional experience in career guidance and coaching. Her multidisciplinary expertise
enables her to bridge education, technology, and career development to create holistic pathways
for learner success.

Currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in
Management Information Systems at Kenyatta University, Mary continues to strengthen her
capacity in educational leadership, academic administration, and technology-enabled program
management.

Diligent, collaborative, and highly committed, Mary is a strong team player and mentor who is
deeply passionate about youth empowerment and the transformative role of technology in
education. She firmly believes in the power of digital skills and the value of diverse career
pathways, and she is driven to inspire young people to embrace innovation, explore their talents,
and make informed career choices.

As a career advisor, career mentor, and career educator, Mary is dedicated to nurturing confident,
skilled, and future-ready youth, while contributing to sustainable education outcomes for
communities served by The Maa Trust.
