Eng. Salim K. Charo

Salim Charo is a Projects Engineer at the Maa Trust dealing with design, supervision, quality control and post construction maintenance of water and building structures for schools, community and health facilities, site assessment and community project management engagement during and post construction. He develops bill of quantities, material schedules and designs drawings including approvals of the same with the relevant authorities.

He is a Civil and Structural Engineer with experience in design of roads, water works, structures, drainage works, materials design, testing and application, project and contract management, engineering surveying and estimation of quantities for civil structures.

As an Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) certified professional engineer and a certified corporate member of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK), Salim is proficient in design and analysis software including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, Prota-structures, Midas civil besides a mastery of Excel, MS Project and other Microsoft applications. He has worked with engineering consulting firms like Otieno Odongo and Partners Consulting Engineers in the construction of Baricho Bridge, Thwake Multipurpose Dam with China Ghezouba Group, multiple water projects including design and supervision of water pipelines, earth dams, water pans, masonry and concrete water tanks among other structures with the County Governments of Kilifi and Taita Taveta.
