2021 was a very busy and productive year for The Maa Trust. As we started to come out of the other side of lockdowns, the immediate priority became economic empowerment and training to support those who had lost their jobs through Covid so that they are able to support their families once again. This simultaneously provided an opportunity to diversify household income beyond tourism and pastoralism and expand environmentally sustainable livelihoods.
