The Integrated Community Healthcare Project (ICHP) delivers vital health services directly to families across the Maasai Mara. Through Community education and awareness, healthcare access and delivery, and youth empowerment and sustainable impact the project strengthens reproductive, maternal, child, and adolescent health while building resilient, community-led health systems.
In January, ICHP strengthened service delivery at supported health facilities. With support from Africa Digna, a hydraulic delivery bed and an IUCD set were delivered to Enkipai Health Facility, improving service delivery. An autoclave machine was also delivered to Olesere Health Facility. These two facilities are among the twelve link facilities supported under the programme.

Besides facility-level capacity, the ICHP Programme also continued to strengthen both community health awareness. Between 20th and 24th January 2026, ICHP continued to strengthen both community health awareness through Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) community dialogues. The programme supported by CHASE Africa reached a total of 296 community members, comprising 159 women and 137 men, across Ormodiei, Laila, Oldisare, and Illaleta. The dialogues focused on key SRH topics, including family planning, maternal and newborn health, HIV and AIDS prevention, prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), gender equality, and the importance of accessing timely, high-quality SRH services.
